Parshu (Axe) + Rama = Parshurama
Parshurama is the Son of the Renuka and one of the saptasidhis, Jamadangi. he leving suring the last Trea and Dvapara Yuhs and He is one of the Immortals of the Hinduism. Parshurama a Brahmin Received his famouse axe undertaking terrible Penance to please Shiva,who in turn taught him Kalaripayattu.
Parshurama is most know for ridding the workd of Kshatiyas 21 times over after the mightty king Kartaviya Arjuna Killed His Father. Also He plays important rolse in the MAHABHARATA and RMAYANA serving as mentor to Bhishma, Drona, and Karna.
Parshurama and Ravana's son - Indrajit are believed to be the only human who ever possessed the the ultimate weapons:
1) Brahmanda astra,
2)Vaishnava astra and
3)Pashupatastra.
Parashuiram wan a disciple of Shiva and learned the scripures and atrs of the warfare from Shiva. He then acquired celestial weapons from Shiva and the other gods on Shiva's instructions.
Shiva Pesonally tresined Parashurama in the art of the warfare. Parshurama will also one the saptarishi in the 8th Manvantra.
